Zubeen Garg Enthralled Audience At Students' Fest

Guwahati based Bollywood singer and eminent actor of Assamese film industry Zubin Garg enthralled a packed audience in Kalyani on Friday night at the annual cultural festival of Dolphin School of Hotel Management. The day long annual event which started with distribution of fruits among the patients of Kalyani’s Jawharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital concluded with the blasting performance of Zubin. Accompanied by new starlet of Assamese film industry singer-actor Jubilee Baruah, Zubin literally mesmerized the audience. He started with a Bengali film number ‘Piya Re Piya Re” from “Chirodini Tumi Je Amar”, and concluded with the Hindi chartbuster “Ya Ali” from “Gangster”. A wild life activist famous of ‘Save Rhino’ campaign, Zubin, who has threat on life by Bodo ultra group NDFB said: “I never miss a chance to visit Calcutta which always given me immense support. I heard a lot about Kalyani too, so was quite curious to visit this nice town”. The young singer with versatile talent is now busy producing and directing a film against terrorism titled “Mission China”, being made in Assamese and Bengali. Zubin has played a lead role of an Army Colonel who voluntary retirement unleashed a fight against ultras. “I have composed the music of this film which is expected to be released by January next year”, Zubin said. “I am very much hopeful about the film. I have tried to say terrorism can bring no better for the humanity. For this belief I have been under threat for long. I am not bothered if I am killed. The film has been photographed extensively in Northeast, Sikkim and in Indo-China border”.
