Krishnanagar, July 19: The ten elite cobra commandos who were killed by the Maoists in Aurangabad include Dipak Ghosh of Nadia's Chapra. 

The information about Dipak's demise arrived at the Jamdongra village of chapra early today morning through the local police station. 

A pall of gloom descended in the village soon after the news of his death spread out in the area.

Dipak joined the CRPF during 2008. He joined the elite cobra commando of 205 battalion of CRPF three years ago.

Dipak's elder brother Ramesh Ghosh said: "Dipak was quite dynamic and aware about the threat in his life since joining the service. Nevertheless, we never imagined that he could die in such a way".

Dipak married to Debashree Ghosh of Dhubulia's Harindanga village two years ago.

Ramesh said: "Dipak visited home during Jamai Sasthi two months ago. During that time he was transferred to Gaya. He left home assuring to come during the puja from his new place of posting. But, he hardly knew that it was his last visit".

Dipaks's mother Charubala Ghosh was crying inconsolably since the news of his younger son arrived. The widow of mid 60 went unconscious over a number of times. "My son laid the life the country. I would die with this satisfaction only", she said.

Additional SP Nadia (Rural) Tanmay Sarkar said: "The Jharkhand government conveyed the news of Dipak's death early in the morning. We expect the body to arrive late in the evening. The district administration has made all arrangements to pay last tributes to the departed para military jawan".
